Full-time or Flexible Part-Time Contract
Salary Range: £107,144 - £142,369 per annum (pro rata if applicable)
Plus: 8% On-call supplement, Distant Islands Allowance of £2,380 per annum (pro rata), and relocation assistance up to £8,000

We are seeking consultant anaesthetists to work at Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick. The Anaesthetic Department provides comprehensive general anaesthetic and critical care services. Due to the remote nature of Shetland, anaesthetists will also provide an enhanced trauma resuscitation service, expertise in neonatal and paediatric resuscitation and stabilization, and adapt core anaesthetic skills to unpredictable and challenging clinical scenarios outside the traditional theatre environment.
Full-time posts are available, with discussions possible for alternative working arrangements, including annualised hours or alternative contracts.
Pro-rata annual leave applies, including 2 full weeks of study leave.
