Job Description:

My client is a leading professional services firm with several sites across the UK, seeking a new member for their prudential risk team to work across their 1st and 2nd line risk functions. You will cover aspects of market, credit, liquidity, and operational risk, playing a key role in implementing their prudential risk framework to support clients.

The role offers flexibility to work remotely but requires occasional visits to the London, Birmingham, or Manchester offices.

As the business grows, they aim to expand their Prudential risk team to maintain their strong position with some of the UK's largest financial institutions. Joining now presents exciting challenges, opportunities, and the chance to build key relationships and gain organizational exposure.

The ideal candidate will:

  1. Understand Prudential Regulations to write and review policies ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  2. Be qualified as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
  3. Be comfortable working between the 1st and 2nd lines of defense.
  4. Have exposure to credit risk, liquidity risk, or operational risk frameworks, including ICAAP and ILAAP reporting.
  5. Build relationships across business areas to ensure proper policy implementation.
  6. Work closely with senior management and operational staff to embed policies effectively.
  7. Challenge users to ensure policies are adhered to regularly.
