Job summary

HelloKindred is seeking a Network Engineer to manage and maintain enterprise proxy infrastructure within a Network Operations Centre. You will handle incident diagnostics and resolution, patching, web access administration, and stakeholder coordination to keep proxy services running smoothly.

The role emphasizes hands-on network support, change management, and collaboration across teams, with a hybrid work setup and UK clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Active UK SC clearance with at least 3 months remaining.
• Sole UK National status required for the role.
• Experience supporting enterprise networks in an operational environment.
• Experience supporting firewalls (Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA, AnyConnect).
• Experience troubleshooting routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
• Good knowledge of ITIL processes and change management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain 28 proxy servers (various classifications).
• Implement configuration changes and monthly patching across all servers.
• Diagnose and resolve 30–40 network incidents per week at L2/L3.
• Process 20–30 web access requests weekly; provide operational support.
• Support new projects including SAS applications and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve incidents in the NOC.
• Perform RUN activities as part of NOC duties.
• Maintain security requirements and ITIL adherence.
