Job summary

Wye Valley NHS Trust in Hereford is recruiting for a Band 2 Provision & Procurement – A.T.O. – Pharmacy role. It is a permanent full-time post at 37.5 hours per week, including weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.

Salary is £25,272 per annum pro rata, with closing date 09/10/2026 23:59. The site is Hereford County Hospital. Previous hospital or Pharmacy experience would be an advantage, though not essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent.
• 4 GCSEs including Maths, English and a Science subject.

Responsibilities

• Receipt of medicines and Pharmacy sundries.
• Completion of electronic and paper records.
• Interaction with suppliers and clients to provide and promote a responsive and efficient service.
• Review and approval of invoice and financial statement documentation.
• Interaction with suppliers and accounts departments.
• The role requires repetitive lifting and long periods of physical activity.

Job overview

Main duties of the job

Person specification

Education & Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or Unit accreditation within their specialised area or equivalent - or on the job training
• 4 GCSE's to include Maths, English and one Science subject or equivalent experience

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• Competent operational user of standard Microsoft Office tools
• Competent keyboard and screen operator skills
• Ability to concentrate with attention to detail and accuracy

Experience

• Experience within a Pharmacy environment, or experience within an equivalent healthcare services department
• Experience within a Pharmacy supply environment, or experience within an equivalent healthcare services supplies department
