Job summary

ASC Connections in Redditch is seeking a Test Engineer to build and test prototype machinery, set up validation programmes, collect and analyse test data and support the transition of new products into production. This hands-on role combines mechanical assembly, testing and technical reporting, with opportunities to work with Design, Manufacturing and Quality. The role offers a salary of £35,000-£40,000, flexitime, a Friday midday finish, and an enhanced employer pension.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical assembly, fitting, test rig or machinery-building experience.
• Experience with complex rotating machinery including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Confident collecting and analysing test data.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype machinery, assemblies, test equipment, jigs and fixtures.
• Set up and complete mechanical test and validation programmes.
• Collect and analyse test data and produce technical reports.
• Work with Design, Manufacturing and Quality to move products to production.
• Support transition of new products into production.
