Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the Global Prototype team and broader Manufacturing Engineering in developing, validating and introducing new products and processes.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations to support prototype builds, customer samples and testing activities. Responsibilities include building, modifying and testing prototype products, interpreting drawings and specifications, supporting new manufacturing technologies such as laser

Qualifications

• Mechanical or electrical assembly experience required.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Battery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, test, and support prototype products and early customer sample builds.
• Read engineering drawings, schematics, technical specifications, and work instructions.
• Support development and validation of new prototype products and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve product, process, and equipment issues.
• Maintain build records, test results, and documentation with traceability.
• Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes and work instructions.
