Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. is hiring a Senior Prototype Engineer for our Warwick office.

You will lead prototype builds across vehicle and product development programmes, translating engineering requirements into robust prototype solutions to support verification, validation and delivery. You will work cross-functionally with design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and suppliers, ensuring builds are delivered on time, within budget and to required quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience leading prototype build activities in engineering environments.
• Experience managing cross-functional engineering programmes.
• Understanding of release and change management processes.
• Experience with stakeholder and supplier management.
• Experience in automotive or vehicle development contexts.
• Knowledge of Agile or Product Development frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead prototype build planning and execution from concept through validation phases.
• Develop and maintain prototype delivery plans, timing schedules and resources.
• Coordinate build readiness across engineering and operations.
• Manage prototype build gateways and milestone reviews.
• Identify, assess and mitigate programme risks and communicate them.
• Provide technical leadership during prototype development activities.
• Support engineering feasibility reviews and design maturation.
• Ensure prototype solutions meet functional and programme requirements.
• Drive issue identification, prioritisation, investigation and resolution.
• Facilitate engineering reviews and lessons learned activities.
• Coordinate prototype part procurement and availability.
• Monitor build progress and rapidly resolve build issues.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation and build records.
• Act as interface between engineering, manufacturing, programme and suppliers.
