Job summary

Mpac Group is seeking an Innovations Engineer to lead practical, creative engineering solutions across concept development, rapid prototyping, build, testing and refinement.

The role focuses on turning ideas into working prototypes, automating manual processes and exploring technologies such as robotics, machine vision and laser-based systems. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD to develop concepts and layouts.
• Basic programming capability for automation and testing.
• Knowledge of pneumatic systems and safety principles.
• Interest in robotics, machine vision, lasers and automation.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Develop prototype designs from concept to testing.
• Apply robotics, machine vision, lasers to solve challenges.
• Create quick mock-ups and proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Produce CAD models and drawings for build teams.
• Assemble, wire and test your designs.
• Review test results and iterate for reliability.
• Support introduction of new equipment into operations.
