Job summary

Mortgage Advice Bureau is seeking a motivated Protection Specialist to join our growing team in Portsmouth. You’ll provide expert advice on life, critical illness, income protection and family income benefit, and partner with Mortgage Advisers to tailor protection solutions for clients.

This role offers a full-time, employed or self-employed path with remote or hybrid working. You’ll operate within our high service standards, building lasting client trust while using a broad range of protection

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a protection advisory role.
• Excellent knowledge of protection products and current market.
• CeMAP or RO5 essential.

Protection Specialist - Join Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB)

Location: Portsmouth, Hants

Full-time; Employed OR Self Employed, Remote OR Hybrid

Salary: Competitive circa £60 - £70,000 OTE (Uncapped Commission)

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide expert advice on a full range of protection products, including life insurance, critical illness, income protection and family income benefit.
• Work closely with Mortgage Advisers and clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored protection solutions.
• Ensure all advice is compliant and in line with MAB’s high standards.
• Build lasting relationships with clients through exceptional service and trust

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a protection advisory role (minimum 1 year preferred).
• Excellent knowledge of protection products and the current market.
• Strong ethical standards and a genuine desire to do the right thing for clients.
• Great communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• CeMAP or equivalent protection-related qualifications (RO5) are essential
