Job summary

Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) is seeking a Mortgage & Protection Adviser to join our team in Portsmouth on a hybrid basis. You’ll chat with clients to understand mortgage and protection needs and provide expert, compliant advice to help them buy and protect their home.

Ideal candidates hold CeMAP (or equivalent) and have previous mortgage advising experience. You’ll work with Bernards Estate Agents, stay on top of lender criteria, and benefit from ongoing training and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) is required.
• Previous experience in mortgage advising is essential.
• Strong communication and people skills are important.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Chatting with clients to understand their mortgage and protection needs.
• Offering expert, honest advice on a wide range of mortgage products and protection options.
• Guiding people through the home-buying journey – and making it less scary!
• Staying on top of market changes and lender criteria.

What We’re Looking For:

• CeMAP qualified (or equivalent) (must have)
• Previous experience in mortgage advising
• Great communicator and genuinely good with people.
• Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload.
