Job summary

AM Healthcare Group's Roehampton Prosthetic service in Queen Mary’s Hospital is seeking a Prosthetist to develop their career within a large clinical team, handling complex case loads and contributing to service improvements in Roehampton.

The role requires HCPC registration, a valid UK driving licence, and a commitment to patient-centred care, with opportunities for professional development and industry-leading training.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years work experience in orthotics
  • Experience with adult and paediatric complex casework
  • Full HCPC Registration
  • Valid UK Driving Licence and DBS check

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care for all patients and ensure smooth service operation.
  • Collaborate closely with MDTs.
  • Lead initiatives in the service development plan.
  • Assess patients to determine orthotic needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in orthotic technology and practice.
  • Provide patient care, education and support throughout treatment.
  • Assess, measure, cast, fit, supply, review and adjust orthoses.
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes.

Prosthetist – Roehampton (Second Position)

We are currently seeking a Prosthetist who is looking for an opportunity to develop their career at our service based in Roehampton.

Working alongside a large team of clinicians, the role will involve working with a complex clinical case load and will be instrumental in developing and implementing service improvements for the betterment of patients in Roehampton.

Opcare’s Roehampton Prosthetic services based in Queen Mary’s Hospital works with a mixture of inpatient and outpatient services often supporting patients with complex

We aim to deliver a first-class service for users whilst applying the most advanced clinical and technical solutions available to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality care for all patients and the smooth running of the service.
  • Working closely with MDT’s.
  • Inputting and leading on initiatives within the service development plan.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessment of patients to determine their orthotic needs.
  • Develop and implement personalised orthotic treatment plans.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in orthotic technology and practices.
  • Provide excellent patient care, education, and support throughout the treatment process.
  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, suppling, reviewing and adjusting orthoses as required.
  • Maintaining appropriate clinical notes.
Skills & Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of complex casework in adult and paediatric care.
  • Self-starter with a flexible and pro‑active approach.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships through effective verbal and written communication.
Qualifications:

The successful candidate must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • Certified Orthotist
  • HND Orthotics
  • BSc Orthotics

And in addition, must have:

  • Full HCPC Registration
  • A valid UK Driving Licence
  • The ability to meet the requirements of an Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) Check
