Zusammenfassung

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Prostate Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to work across Basingstoke, Winchester and Andover. The role offers progression from Band 6 to Band 7 with a structured development programme and a supportive CNS team.

You will deliver expert clinical care along the patient pathway, triage referrals, support new diagnosis clinics and manage a caseload within a prostate cancer service that collaborates with MDT and palliative care teams.

Qualifikationen

• Evidence of management skills within current banding.
• Reading around the specialism to develop knowledge in prostate cancer.
• Understanding the role and core skills of a CNS.
• Autonomous practice and ability to lead patient care.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialist care for patients with prostate cancer under national and local standards.
• Triaging referrals within the Faster Diagnosis Standard pathway and supporting straight-to-test services.
• Act as patient key worker and support nurse-led new diagnosis clinics.
• Manage a caseload of patients with locally advanced disease.
• Support seven-day service delivery and participate in service development.
• Collaborate with urology, MDT, cancer services and palliative care teams to ensure seamless care.
