Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Advanced Clinical Practitioner with urology/cancer experience to join the prostate cancer team. The ACP will perform advanced assessments, guide investigations and treatment decisions, and support MDTs to deliver patient-centred care across the cancer pathway.

Qualifications

• The post holder provides advanced clinical assessment and management for suspected or confirmed prostate cancer.
• Works autonomously within scope of practice and contributes to efficient, patient-centred urology services.
• Contributes to the development of MDT services and to audit, service development and research.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments, including history, exam and interpretation of investigations.
• Support diagnostic pathway for suspected prostate cancer (PSA, MRI, biopsy outcomes).
• Communicate results and discuss treatment options with patients with empathy and competence.
• Coordinate delivery of prostate cancer MDT services and support shared decision-making.
