Job summary

Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join the Urology and Prostate Cancer team. You will provide autonomous clinical assessment and management for men with suspected or confirmed prostate cancer, working within an MDT to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care across the patient journey.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making within urology/cancer care.
• Experience in prostate cancer pathways and MDT involvement.
• Ability to educate patients and support shared decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and interpret investigations.
• Support diagnostic pathways for suspected prostate cancer (PSA, MRI, biopsy).
• Discuss treatment options with patients, considering active surveillance and therapies.
• Coordinate MDT services and ensure timely patient care.
• Provide ongoing review, symptom management and follow-up for prostate cancer patients.
• Escalate deteriorations and complications promptly.
• Educate patients and families and support learning in the team.
