Aufgaben

• Undertaking comprehensive clinical assessments, including history-taking, physical examination and interpretation of relevant investigations.
• Supporting the diagnostic pathway for suspected prostate cancer, including PSA results, prostate MRI findings and biopsy outcomes.
• Communicating diagnostic results and discussing treatment options with patients in a sensitive and supportive manner, in line with competence and agreed clinical pathways.
• Contributing to the coordination and delivery of prostate cancer MDT services.
• Supporting shared decision-making regarding treatment options, which may include active surveillance, surgery, radiotherapy, systemic therapies and supportive care.
• Providing ongoing clinical review, symptom management and follow-up for patients with prostate cancer.
• Recognising and escalating clinical deterioration, treatment-related complications and urgent concerns.
• Providing education, information and psychological support to patients and their families.
• Working closely with urology consultants, clinical nurse specialists, radiology, pathology, oncology and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
• Contributing to clinical audit, service development, quality improvement, research and the implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Supporting the education, supervision and development of colleagues and learners.
