Job summary

Apex Resource Management is seeking a Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration in Warwick to provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams. You will define, integrate and validate propulsion solutions, managing interfaces across vehicle domains and guiding the programme through gateways.

The role requires strong propulsion engineering experience, systems thinking and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration to meet performance, cost and timing targets.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in propulsion system engineering.
• Proven project management capability.
• Experience using AGILE JIRA.
• Experience using 3Dx and SAP.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools.
• Strong systems engineering knowledge.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience supporting vehicle integration, validation and software delivery activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and delivery of propulsion system software, controls and calibration activities across vehicle programmes.
• Ensure alignment between hardware, software, controls and system requirements to achieve propulsion performance and vehicle attribute targets.
• Coordinate software release planning and deployment activities against programme milestones and gateway deliverables.
• Manage cross-functional collaboration between controls, calibration, systems, validation and commodity engineering teams.
• Lead propulsion verification and validation activities including MIL, SIL, HIL, vehicle-level testing and sign-off events.
• Support development and validation of torque control, energy management, thermal management, drivability, efficiency, performance and diagnostic functions.
• Review and approve software change requests, issue investigations and corrective actions.
• Drive root cause investigation and resolution of vehicle integration, software, calibration and controls-related issues.
• Ensure software maturity and readiness for prototype, DV, PV, launch and production gateways.
• Support vehicle-level testing, data analysis and issue triage activities.
• Manage functional integration and validation of propulsion features including regenerative braking, torque delivery, charging interactions, diagnostics and thermal control strategies.
• Manage propulsion systems requirements and facilitate risk and opportunity discussions with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with programme, manufacturing, purchasing, quality and development teams.
• Track programme timelines, budgets and deliverables to support successful delivery.
• Support gateway material preparation and issue resolution.
• Act as a key technical authority for the Technical Lead - Propulsion Integration function across programmes.
