Job summary

Willmott Dixon is seeking a Proposals Manager to lead the development of high-quality bids for interiors construction across diverse sectors. You will work with project teams, cost planners and senior leaders to craft persuasive, client-focused proposals, from PQQs to tenders, and support presentations.

You will coordinate contributions, run win theme workshops, and ensure timely delivery while showcasing creative bid responses and winning strategies. Strong InDesign skills are essential.

Job description

Are you an experienced proposals professional with a passion for winning work and a talent for turning complex information into compelling submissions? We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Proposals Manager to lead the development of high-quality bids for exciting interiors construction projects across a diverse range of sectors.

Working at the heart of our work winning team, you’ll collaborate with Project Managers (Proposals), project teams, cost planners, subject matter experts and senior leaders to develop persuasive, client-focused proposals. You’ll lead the quality response process from PQQs and EOIs through to tenders and Post Tender Interviews, as well as supporting presentations and developing bid collateral.

Working flexibly from home and our office opposite the Old Bailey in central London, you’ll need a strong track record in proposals or bid writing, with excellent writing and story-telling skills and the ability to develop and weave win themes throughout a submission. You’ll be confident coordinating contributions from across the business, facilitating answer planning and win theme workshops, and working with technical specialists to turn complex information into clear, engaging responses.

As the successful Proposals Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the quality of our bids, challenging and improving responses where appropriate, and ensuring the bid process is followed. You’ll also bring creativity to our submissions, support customer presentations and coach colleagues involved in the bid process. Strong knowledge of the Adobe Suite, particularly InDesign, is essential.

• Experience of working in a work-winning role in the construction sector.
• Experience of developing compelling win themes and weaving them throughout submissions
• Experience of facilitating answer planning sessions, win theme workshops and managing the tender review process.
• Strong experience of bid writing and bid editing, creating compelling and persuasive responses.
• Excellent resource planning skills – maintaining timelines, coordinating contributors and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Experience of using Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge and experience of Adobe InDesign.
• APMP membership and/or certification.
