SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Proposals Engineer/Technical Sales Engineer for our client who is looking to expand their Sales team to enhance the performance of their customers' food processing equipment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and technical professional seeking to grow their career in a commercially focused, technical role.

Role Purpose

Provide technical and application support to the sales team to ensure the optimal solutions are sold to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver compliant, professionally produced proposals within specified timeframes.
• Ensure proposal documents adhere to standard formatting and quality standards.
• Prepare and review the commercial aspects of bids, ensuring all services are included in the final price.
• Provide technical sales and application support to the sales team.
• Support the sales team during on-site visits as part of the proposal process.
• Follow defined processes for producing costings and proposal information.
• Promote best practices for layout and content of proposal submissions.
• Prepare handover documentation for project managers upon successful bids.

What we're looking for:

• Ability to read and produce drawings using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• An Engineering background (Mechanical, Food, Electrical) is desirable.
• Experience working as part of an engineering or technical team is advantageous but not essential.
• Proficiency with Office 365 tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Customer-focused with a passion for building strong relationships.
• Strong written skills for technical specifications and quotations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Methodical working approach and comfort with data and numbers.
