Job summary

Metropolitan Thames Valley is seeking a Property Surveyor to diagnose and resolve complex repair and maintenance issues across North and East London. You will lead investigations into damp, mould, disrepair, and major defects, ensuring safety, quality and value for money for our residents.

You’ll manage a varied caseload, provide technical guidance, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver planned works and service improvements while upholding high professional standards and housing asset

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and resolving complex property repairs and maintenance issues.
• Strong knowledge of housing construction and maintenance diagnostics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and colleagues.
• Experience applying the NHF Schedule of Rates.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex building faults for the Property Directorate.
• Manage a varied caseload including damp and mould, disrepair, and major repairs.
• Lead on accurate diagnosis using HHSRS framework to identify hazards.
• Provide guidance and post-inspection support to colleagues to ensure quality works.
• Support delivery of planned works and drive service improvements.
