Job summary

Phoenix Futures is seeking a Property Services Manager on a permanent basis with flexible hours and hybrid/home-based arrangements. The role involves regular site presence and weekly travel to services across England, including London for quarterly meetings.

You will support the English operational team with property maintenance, development and procurement, ensuring safe, compliant, and inspiring environments across our residential services and supported housing portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Be understanding and passionate about the needs of people who use our services.
  • Knowledge of the practical elements of property management and project work.
  • Evidence experience developing relationships and working across multi-functional teams to ensure environments are fit for purpose and inspirational.
  • Hold or be working towards a RICS qualification or related property professional qualification.
  • Experience in maintenance/management of CQC/CI registered care home properties or registered social housing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, commission and manage cyclical maintenance, renovations and property changes.
  • Contribute to creating property specifications for new and existing services.
  • Support property related procurement and property insurance responsibilities.
  • Monitor and report carbon emissions to help maintain carbon neutral status.

Property Services Manager

This position is permanent. Hours are flexible for the right candidate - part time, full time or condensed hours would be considered.

This is a National Role – hybrid/home based, with the expectation of regular weekly on site presence. Weekly travel will be required to services across England with travel to London also required for quarterly meetings.

Phoenix Futures have an exciting opportunity to support our brilliant English operational team with property maintenance and development. This newly updated role will support us to maintain our excellent standards of therapeutic environments and will enable us to expand our reach.

What you can expect in the role

This position reports to Head of Property Services. You will be required to work as part of a multi-functional team to deliver our objectives.

The role will support operational staff to help them to identify, commission and manage cyclical maintenance, renovations, moves and property changes. It will also require contribution to the creation of property specifications for new and existing services.

Health and Safety responsibilities will include identifying areas of concern or potential non-compliance and working with health and safety representatives and consultants to ensure compliance with policy.

You will have responsibility for supporting on property related procurement and responsibility for property insurance.

The role will also have responsibility for Carbon Emission monitoring and reporting to enable us to work towards maintaining Carbon Neutral Status.

What we’re looking for in you

We are looking for an exceptional individual to provide support to our England based operational teams to enable them to design, maintain and create outstanding environments for our services to operate from. The successful candidate will:

  • Be understanding and passionateabout the needs of people who use our services
  • Have knowledge of the practical elements of property managementandproject work
  • Be able to evidence experience of developing relationshipsandworking across multi-functional teams, ensuring that the environments in which we work are both fit for purpose and inspirational
  • Hold or be working towards RICS qualificationor relatedproperty professional qualification
  • Have prior experience of working on the maintenance and management of CQCorCI registered care home properties, registered social housing or similar
  • Health & Safety qualifications are desirable which could include but are not limited to IOSH Managing Safely,NEBOSH Level 3orequivalent(NCRQ, NVQ, etc.,).
