Property Manager
Salary: £26,500
Location: Huddersfield
Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm + alternate Saturdays 10am-2pm
Requirements: Must have full UK driving license
My client, based in Huddersfield, is seeking a Property Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading estate agent and advance your career.
Property Manager Duties Include:
- Build long-standing relationships with landlords and tenants both over the phone and in person.
- Attend to and manage property repair issues in a timely, organised, and proactive manner.
- Obtain repair quotes/estimates from contractors as required.
- Liaise with tenants, contractors, and landlords to ensure repairs are undertaken protectively and within specified timeframes.
- Keep landlords and tenants updated on all relevant matters.
- Effectively communicate between landlords and tenants to foster strong relationships.
- Carry out interim property inspections, report issues, and deal promptly with repairs or breaches of tenancy, ensuring landlords are fully informed.
- Arrange annual renewal of gas and electric safety certificates in line with legislation and landlord requirements.
- Maintain accurate property files and computer records.
- Ensure all relevant documentation, such as inventories and renewal papers, are filed promptly.
- Handle requests like rent reviews, renewals, and vacation procedures promptly, providing guidance on legislation.
- Address basic account inquiries from landlords and tenants.
- Provide sales leads to residential offices.
- Identify opportunities to promote insurance products such as Rent Guarantee and Tenant/Landlord Insurance.
- Check and respond to emails promptly.
- Follow key checking in and out procedures.
- Organise, prioritise, and undertake personal work efficiently and logically.
- Liaise with the customer service team to address tenant requests promptly.

- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Solid administration background with the ability to manage workload effectively.
- Compliance with ARLA best practices and procedures.
- Good IT literacy, familiar with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Problem-solving skills with appropriate use of initiative.
