Job summary

Bastow Irwin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Property Manager for a busy Colchester-based portfolio. You will manage a portfolio of APT properties, work independently, and coordinate with contractors to maintain standards.

Key requirements include 1+ year of property management experience, intermediate computer literacy, and familiarity with property management software. ARLA/MARLA accreditation is a strong plus.

Job description

Our well Established Independent Client are looking for an experienced Property Manager to join in their busy Property management department based in Colchester CO1 The successful applicant will be responsible for a portfolio of APT properties; therefore they must be able to manage their own workload and also delegate to others, keep on top of any issues and prioritise jobs as necessary.

Responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

• Team meetings
• Maintenance coordination
• Implementing excellent relationships with all contractors
• Implement new procedures
• Have the ability to demonstrate a track record of managing rental properties
• Up tp speed with the renters rights bill
• Be fully conversant with current regulation/ legislation and processes surrounding APT Property Management
• Striving to exceed individual targets and standards.
• Referring business across departments to maximise business opportunities
• Striving to exceed customer expectations
• Handling complaints and providing solutions
• Maintaining policies and procedures in accordance with company policies
• Ensuring compliance and all Property management legislation
• Supporting the team when required.
• Section notices 21 & 8
• Carrying out inspections

The Successful Applicant will need to possess the following skills:

• Minimum 1 years APT Property Management Experience
• The candidates must have intermediate computer literacy
• Experience with Property Management software packages
• Professional ARLA - MARLA accreditation's would be seen strong advantage but essential.
• Be able to manage their own workload
• Experience in dealing with all section notices
• Full valid driving licence is essential

The hours will be: Monday to Friday 9.00am to 6.00pm

Salary range will be: between £30.000pa to £32,000pa depending on experience.
