Job summary

Magnus James Ltd. is seeking a proactive Property Manager to join a well-established team in the Cheltenham area. You'll support a portfolio of residential properties across Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham and nearby areas, handling repairs, inspections, tenancy administration and viewings.

The role offers training and ARLA progression support, a quarterly bonus, and a friendly team environment. A full UK driving licence is essential to visit properties and meet clients.

• ARLA qualification or study toward one is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduled repairs and reactive maintenance.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, tenants, contractors and applicants.
• Handle enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Coordinate property inspections, visits and check-outs.
• Maintain accurate tenancy records and support renewals.
• Market available properties and conduct viewings.
• Monitor property compliance and arrange safety certificates and inspections.
• Liaise with contractors to ensure issues are resolved promptly.

Are you a proactive and organised Property Manager looking to develop your career with a highly regarded independent agent? We're recruiting for a Property Manager to join a well-established and friendly team based in Bishops Cleeve, supporting a portfolio of residential properties across the village, Cheltenham and the surrounding area. This is a varied, people-focused role where no two days are the same, with full training and support provided to help you develop within the role.

As Property Manager, what's in it for you?

Your role as Property Manager:

• Managing scheduled repairs and reactive maintenance
• Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, contractors and applicants
• Handling enquiries and providing excellent customer service
• Coordinating property inspections, visits and check‑outs
• Maintaining accurate tenancy records
• Supporting tenancy renewals, agreements and related administration
• Marketing available properties and conducting viewings
• Monitoring property compliance and arranging relevant safety certificates and inspections
• Liaising with contractors to ensure maintenance issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently
• Managing day-to-day challenges with a calm, practical and solution‑focused approach

What we're looking for from a Property Manager:

• Previous experience within property management, lettings, estate agency, customer service, administration or another customer-focused environment would be beneficial
• ARLA qualification or an interest in studying towards one is highly desirable
• Strong communication and people skills - building lasting relationships is key!
• A proactive, positive and can‑do attitude
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
• Solid IT skills and good attention to detail
• A professional and personable approach
• Someone who enjoys solving problems and isn't afraid to get stuck in
• Full UK driving licence is essential
