Equals One Ltd is seeking a Property Maintenance Operative to work on a self-employed basis across Hull and surrounding areas. The role is 20 hours per week with overtime, and pay is dependent on experience.

You will undertake repairs and maintenance in residential properties, including social housing and HMOs. The ideal candidate has handyman/joinery experience, knowledge of building regulations for social housing and HMOs, a full UK driving licence, and your own tools.

Property Maintenance Operative- Self-Employed

Location: Hull and surrounding areas
Hours: 20 hours per week, plus overtime
Rate: Dependent on experience
Contract: Self-Employed

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Handyman / Joiner to carry out repairs and maintenance to residential properties across Hull and the surrounding area.

This is a varied, hands‑on role for someone who is comfortable working independently and can turn their hand to a range of property repairs and maintenance work.

You should also have a good understanding of the building regulations and standards relevant to social housing and Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs).

The role

Your work will include:

• General property repairs and maintenance
• Joinery repairs
• Repairs to doors and windows
• Basic painting and decorating
• Identifying faults and carrying out practical repairs
• Working in occupied residential properties, including social housing and HMOs
• Ensuring work is completed safely, tidily and to a good standard
• Carrying out work in line with relevant building regulations and property standards

The ideal candidate
