Job summary

Adecco is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician in Edinburgh City Centre to support a busy summer turnaround for a leading student accommodation provider. The role is temporary with an ASAP start until mid-September, offering 40 hours per week from 09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday.

Salary is £16.50 per hour, paid weekly via PAYE. The position focuses on preparing accommodation for the new academic year, maintaining rooms and communal areas to a high standard, and delivering a positive

Qualifications

• Experience in residential maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or a trade such as plumbing or carpentry.
• Hands-on approach with good attention to detail.
• Strong team-working and flexible/adaptive mindset.
• Good communication and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the site.
• Assist with room refreshes and preparation for new residents.
• Support move-in activities, including occasional heavy lifting.
• Complete basic plumbing, painting and decorating tasks.
• Undertake paint work, mastic work and replacements.
• Perform routine safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Technician team and wider site staff.
• Help deliver a positive experience for residents and guests.
