Job summary

Lexel seeks a Property Litigation Associate Solicitor in the Brighton area with 3+ years' PQE. The role offers hybrid working and a chance to handle diverse housing litigation matters including landlord-tenant, Section 8, enfranchisements, and commercial disputes.

You will manage day-to-day caseloads, support partners on complex matters, supervise junior staff, and participate in marketing and client development while engaging directly with clients to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with 3+ years' PQE.
• IT literate, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and social proactivity.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to convey clear and concise information.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the day to day running of a caseload.
• Be able to support the partners on more large and complex matters.
• Supervise more junior members of the team including paralegals.
• Get involved in marketing and business development in a client focused manner.
• Be able to interact directly with clients, manage their expectations, and meet their deadlines.
