Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking an ambitious Property Solicitor/Lawyer to join its Legal Service. You will provide specialist property-law advice across commercial and residential matters within a central services framework and support and train colleagues where needed.

The role offers the chance to work across a busy legal team, with flexible/hybrid working and opportunities to broaden experience in related disciplines while serving the Council and external clients.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of property law across commercial and residential work.
• Ability to advise on acquisitions, disposals, leases, auctions, academy transfers and agricultural tenancies.
• Flexible and versatile approach; able to work with stakeholders at all levels.
