Job summary

J. Dickinson & Sons is seeking a dynamic Property/Facilities professional to lead the strategic and operational management of a diverse property portfolio, including waste facilities, commercial and residential premises and development projects.

You will coordinate maintenance schedules, utilities management, compliance and contractor relationships, while supporting refurbishment and capital investment initiatives.

Qualifications

• Project management qualification, or compensating work experience.
• Proven experience managing a varied property portfolio.
• Experience managing maintenance programmes, maintenance teams, contractors and service providers.
• Experience supporting refurbishment, construction or development projects.
• Good understanding of facilities management principles and best practice.
• Understanding of statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to discuss and challenge technical recommendations from contractors and consultants.
• Understanding of landlord and tenant responsibilities.
• Effective project planning and coordination skills.
• A qualification in facilities, property or building management would be advantageous, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for strategic and operational management of a diverse property portfolio.
• Coordinate facilities and property management activities, including maintenance scheduling, utilities, compliance and contractor management.
• Support planning, design and delivery of property improvement initiatives, refurbishment projects, new developments and capital investment.
