Job summary

Together Housing in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated Clean & Clear Operative to join our team. You will conduct property clearance, final cleans, and garden work to ensure empty homes are ready for new residents. A full manual UK driving licence and practical cleaning/caretaking experience are essential.

You will work 37 hours per week (7:30am–3:30pm Mon-Thu, 7:30am–3:00pm Fri). The role offers a starting salary of £25,878, with 27 days’ holiday (rising to 32) plus bank holidays and flexible

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Practical experience in cleaning or caretaking.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• Ability to operate cleaning/caretaking equipment and machinery.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct property clearance, final cleans, and garden work for empty homes.
• Sort and recycle all waste streams responsibly.
• Communicate clearly with residents and resolve issues.
• Follow health and safety standards and promote safety-first culture.
• Carry out basic checks, servicing and maintenance of equipment.
