Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Claims Examiner in our Claims Department for our Property business.

Our Property Claims team services a diverse range of UK and international business. We work through a network of brokers and directly with clients to tailor solutions to the needs of our customer base.

Location: Flexible, based out of our regional offices in Manchester or Birmingham. The candidate will report to and regularly travel to our Head Office in London. We promote a collaborative work environment where our employees thrive and develop long-lasting careers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing a large and growing caseload of claims.
• Maintaining operational and technical oversight of key outsource arrangements.
• Ensuring accuracy of financial recording and reporting to management.
• Serving as a key contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Attending internal claim meetings, market seminars, and representing the company as needed.
• Managing relationships with service providers, including TPAs, outsource providers, panel lawyers, and adjusters.

What You’ll Bring:

• At least 2 years of experience handling property claims with technical proficiency.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• A strong work ethic, high standards, and accountability.
• Honest and ethical conduct at all times.
• Experience with insurance industry processes and procedures.
