Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Location: Hybrid, Glasgow
Applicants will be required to attend the Glasgow or Stoke office once a week.
Our Opportunity:
Davies is seeking an experienced Claims Handler to join our Casualty team. This role offers a supportive environment where you will provide first-class claims handling services to major clients.
What will your day look like:
- Investigation: Handle claims directly or refer for on-site investigation.
- Evidence Gathering: Collect relevant evidence and documentation.
- Reserve Management: Review and maintain reserves.
- Negotiation: Negotiate settlements within authority limits.
- Resolution: Decide on actions to resolve cases.
- Liaison: Communicate with insurers, policyholders, and brokers.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on policy indemnity, liability, and tactics.
- Professional Correspondence: Maintain communication with all parties.
- Adherence to Procedures: Follow documented procedures and client requirements.
- Continuous Learning: Keep updated on technical changes and participate in training.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Essential:
- Manage claims from start to finish.
- Investigate liability.
- Handle personal caseloads.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Team player with adaptability.
Desirable:
- Experience with Property Damage claims.
- Knowledge of reserving strategies.
- Ability to value injury claims.
- Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules and Claims Portal.
