Job summary

The Manchester College is seeking a Property Assistant for our Harpurhey campus in Manchester. This permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week) supports the Facilities Team in keeping buildings safe, clean and well-maintained, with duties spanning opening/closing, room setup, deliveries and minor repairs.

We welcome candidates with facilities or caretaking experience who enjoy teamwork and practical, hands-on work. Competitive pension and benefits apply.

Are you a practical and dependable person who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming spaces? The Manchester College’s City Centre Campus is seeking a Property Assistant to join our dedicated Facilities Team. In this hands-on role, you’ll help keep the campus running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, security, and maintenance. Duties include unlocking buildings, setting up rooms, handling deliveries, and carrying out minor repairs, all supporting a great learning environment. You’ll also assist with events, site safety, and emergency procedures. This role suits someone with facilities, caretaking, or estates experience who enjoys variety and teamwork. If you’re proactive and take pride in your work, we’d love to hear from you.

We have an exciting opportunity at our Harpurhey campus to join our Facilities Department as a Property Assistant on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.
