Job summary

Medway Council’s Medway Adult Education is seeking a Programme Coordinator – Projects to support the English and Maths department on new adult education projects and 16-18 cohorts. The role involves coaching colleagues to sustain high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, and contributing to professional practice development.

The post is fixed-term for 18 months with potential extension, located on a hybrid basis in Medway (Eastgate, Rochester) and from home, with enhanced DBS checks

Qualifications

• Relevant maths or English teaching qualifications and expertise.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring colleagues to develop professional practice.
• Ability to contribute to high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across projects.

Responsibilities

• Support English and Maths department in new projects for adult learners and 16-18 cohorts.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to colleagues to maintain high teaching standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of quality assurance in teaching and learning.
