Pertemps Specialist Talent Solutions is recruiting an English & Maths Trainer in Nottingham. You will deliver sessions from Entry Level to Level 2 across apprenticeship and adult learning, both in-house and at workplaces.

The role supports diverse learners with a learner-centred approach, requiring adaptability, strong classroom management and dedication to learner progression. A 35-hour week with term-time considerations is offered.

English & Maths Trainer

Location: Nottingham, with travel across the East Midlands

Hours:Full Time-with a 630pm finish on a Monday- term-time considered

Salary: £28,212 - £33,036 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience

The Role

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English and Maths sessions that support learner achievement and progression
• Work with mixed-ability learners, including those who may be disengaged or lack confidence
• Manage a caseload of learners, monitoring progress and supporting timely achievement
• Diagnose learning needs and tailor delivery accordingly
• Maintain accurate learner records and contribute to quality assurance
• Work collaboratively with employers, assessors, and internal teams

About You

Essential:

• Experience delivering English and Maths (Entry Level to Level 2)
• English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 or above
• Strong learner-centered approach and effective classroom management skills
• A recognised teaching award at Level 3 or above
• Full UK driving licence and access to own transport

Desirable:

• GCSE English delivery experience
• Level 5 subject specialism in English
