Job summary

Codi Group in Caerphilly is recruiting a full-time Project Worker to support individuals experiencing homelessness across our Caerphilly Homelessness services. You will work in a team to provide practical help, move-on support, and engage with diverse clients to prevent homelessness and improve tenancy outcomes.

The role requires rota shifts including days, evenings and weekends; a driving licence or access to a car is preferred to reach different sites and engage with external agencies.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of housing related support and benefits system.
  • Be organised with good IT and communication skills.
  • Passion to help people live independently and make positive choices.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake assessment for move-on provision from B&B accommodation.
  • Provide pre- and post-resettlement support.
  • Engage clients to form a consent-based consortium for wellbeing activities.
  • Liaise with external agencies through effective relationship building.

A full-time. permanent Project worker, working across the Caerphilly Homelessness services. You will be required to work on a rota basis with includes days, evenings and have weekend availability.

This is a Project Worker role where you will work in a team to provide support to individuals experiencing homelessness. You will be working with a diverse group of people from varying backgrounds, some of whom may have experienced trauma and may have complex needs, suffering with their mental health as well as low level substance and alcohol issues. Supporting people to make positive, informed choices to move forwards in their lives to enable them to manage their tenancies and so preventing further homelessness. Every day is different, you’ll be learning new skills and have opportunity to work with a variety of agencies for the benefit of our clients. We engage with the people we support through positive meaningful activities and provide a Psychologically Informed Environment.

  • Undertake assessment for move on provision from B&B temporary accommodation
  • Undertake support pre and post resettlement
  • Engage clients in setting up a client consortium to access further funding for wellbeing activities
  • Liaise with external agencies through effective relationship building and networking

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Have knowledge of housing related support and the benefits system
  • To be organised and have good IT skills
  • A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
  • An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
  • A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
  • Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations
  • Driving licence and access to a car
