Job summary

P4 Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a compassionate Project Worker to join a supported housing service in Exeter, working with adults who have experienced homelessness. You will help residents move toward independent living and access education, training, and employment opportunities.

Join a supportive team dedicated to empowering individuals to rebuild lives with dignity, respect, and a focus on positive outcomes. DBS update service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults, particularly those affected by homelessness.
• Positive, flexible, and proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Current DBS ideally on the update service.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to build life skills, confidence and independence.
• Complete support planning and reviewing progress.
• Act as first point of contact for residents and respond to enquiries.
• Build positive, professional relationships while promoting dignity, choice, and respect.
• Encourage engagement with education, training, employment and community opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with external agencies and partner organisations.
• Maintain accurate records and support documentation.

The Role

As a Project Worker, you will provide person-centred support to adults with a history of homelessness, helping them overcome barriers and work towards independent living.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting individuals to build life skills, confidence, and independence


• Completing support planning and reviewing customer progress


• Acting as a first point of contact for residents and responding to enquiries


• Building positive, professional relationships while promoting dignity, choice, and respect


• Encouraging engagement with education, training, employment, and community opportunities
