Job Overview

Our Supported Accommodation service at Albert Street, Newport, is seeking a Complex Needs Project Worker for a full-time (37 hours), permanent position.

Albert Street offers supported accommodation for individuals over 18 who are homeless and have co-occurring mental health/substance misuse issues. You will work with these individuals to teach tenancy management skills and connect them with external services to positively impact their lives.

The service provides person-centred, tailored support to meet individual needs, helping clients achieve their goals and aspirations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Develop and update risk assessments and management plans to ensure safety within the service.
  • Assess clients’ needs and risks, managing a caseload of clients with complex needs.
  • Review and update support plans, providing guidance on tenancy responsibilities.
  • Support clients in understanding their responsibilities and assist in moving to independent accommodation.
  • Coordinate with external agencies like Social Services, Benefits, Housing, and Probation.
  • Lead shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed and supervising Support Officers.
  • Maintain client records and support safe premises management.
  • Promote health & safety, ensure rent payments, and attend team meetings and training.
  • Adhere to company policies on equality, diversity, professional boundaries, and health & safety.
  • Perform additional duties as directed by management.
  • Promote a Psychologically Informed Environment.

Our goal is to equip individuals with the skills and tools for independent living and re-engagement with health services. The role involves working with clients with complex behaviours and needs, requiring adaptable approaches.

  • Salary of £28,041 + £51.11 sleep-in allowance

  • Work on a 6-week rolling rota covering days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
