Southern Housing is seeking a motivated Project Surveyor on a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver complex projects, undertake surveys, assess defects, and prepare tender specifications while managing contractors and ensuring safety and quality.
The role covers Brighton, West Sussex and South Hampshire with hybrid working where appropriate. You will work with residents and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and compliant with regulatory requirements.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract.
We’re looking for a motivated and capable individual to join our team as a Project Surveyor. At Southern Housing, we are committed to delivering safe, well-maintained homes and high-quality asset management services for our residents, and this role plays an important part in achieving that.
Reporting to the relevant Senior Projects Managers (London and Counties) you’ll be responsible for the delivery of Complex Projects, covering Contract and Direct Services. Ensuring these projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively, while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction. You’ll work closely with residents, contractors, leaseholders, resident groups, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality standards, within budget, and in compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying more efficient ways of delivering services, promoting best practice, and sharing learning from projects, complaints, and customer feedback.
This role will be covering Brighton, West Sussex and South Hampshire, with hybrid working arrangements available where appropriate and agreed with your manager.

You’ll be part of the Asset Management and Property Services team, working together to deliver high-quality maintenance, investment, and improvement programmes across Southern Housing's homes and communities. The team collaborates closely with residents, contractors, customer-facing teams, and operational colleagues to ensure homes remain safe, compliant, well maintained, and fit for the future while delivering excellent customer experiences and value for money.
