Job summary

Niyaa People are seeking an experienced Project Surveyor to join our property services team in Bath. You will own repair projects, provide technical solutions, and deliver surveying services to maintain assets, ensuring works meet quality standards and budget constraints.

The role is hybrid (site, home and office) with travel around Bath. It is a 6-month contract paying £30-£35 per hour via Umbrella, plus a mileage allowance of 0.45p from the office to sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in surveying repair works and asset maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose building defects and propose remedial works.
• Experience with insurance claims and subsidence surveys.
• Experience working with leaseholders under S20 procedures.
• Experience with listed and historic buildings and obtaining consents.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-work surveys to identify repairs and maintenance needs.
• Provide detailed reports and specifications to contractors and internal teams.
• Manage projects through to completion, ensuring customer experience and quality standards.
• Coordinate with local authority planning departments to comply with statutory requirements.
• Work with leaseholders to ensure timely repairs and proper cost recovery.

We are looking for a proactive and motivatedProject Surveyorto join a leading Property Services team. As a Project Surveyor you will take ownership of repair projects providing technical solutions for residents. You will provide a full range of surveying functions and support to maintain assets, ensuring that repair works are delivered within budget constraints and controls, and against quality standards.

You will be basedon site, at home and in the office with frequent travel around Bath!

Project Surveyor

Location: Hybrid, Bath

6 month contract

£30-£35 per hour via Umbrella

0.45p mileage from office to sites

Project Surveyor duties:

• Carry out pre work surveys, including insurance and subsidencesurveys to identify repairs and maintenance requirements
• Provide detailed reports and specifications of works to contractors and internal teams to remedy defects identified.
• Provide effective project management until completion of work, ensuring the customer experience and quality standards are understood, maintained and developed.
• Work closely with the local authority planning departments, ensuring the design, specification and delivery of works is carried out in accordance with statutory requirements including listed building compliance.
• Work closely with leaseholders to ensure standards of repairs are met in a timely manner and that repair projects comply with legal procedures to recover costs appropriately.

To succeed as the Project Surveyor, you need:

• Hold a minimum of HNC or HND Level 3 qualification in Construction or equivalent experience.
• Evidence ability to successfully diagnose building defects, set specification of works and project manage to completion
• Experiencewithin insurance and subsidence
• Evidence experience of working with leaseholders, ensuring S20 compliancy, in order to deliver repair led projects to buildings and structures
• Evidence experience of working with listed and historic buildings, submitting applications for consent and adhering to guidelines
