Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support and management of information.
  • Collect and analyse management information and maintain project documents.
  • Support Digital Infrastructure Team across local and central government and telecommunications markets.
  • Maintain project information, coordinate activities, support governance processes and ensure projects are delivered effectively.
  • Plan and assist with events, meetings, workshops and stakeholder briefings.
  • Act as a contact for public inquiries regarding connectivity plans and manage correspondence.

Salary:£33,673 to £36,581 per annum.

Working pattern: 37 hours per week. Flexible working options available, to be agreed with your line manager.

Location: Your main office will be in Chichester. With hybrid working options to work from home.

Contract: Fixed term/Secondment until 31/10/2028

Interviews: 7th October and 8th October

In this role as a Project Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day support and management of information. Your duties will involve collecting and analysing management information, as well as maintaining project documents.

You will directly support our Digital Infrastructure (DI) Team, which is a highly skilled and specialised team operating across local and central government, as well as directly with the commercial telecommunications market.

You will play a key role in supporting the Digital Infrastructure Team's programme of work, maintaining project information, coordinating activities, supporting governance processes and helping to ensure projects are delivered effectively. The role will involve working across multiple workstreams, supporting stakeholder engagement, maintaining project records, documentation and contributing to the production of reports, briefings and other project outputs.

You will be responsible for planning and assisting with various events, such as meetings, workshops, partner/stakeholder events, and Member briefings. You will serve as a point of contact for public inquiries regarding connectivity plans and assist in managing correspondence to ensure consistent messaging and timely responses.

  • Demonstrable experience of working as a competent member of a project team, ideally in a project support role or equivalent.
  • Worked in a rapidly changing environment and of working within project management systems/practices and providing effective support.
