Job summary

National Highways are inviting applications for a Project Support Officer within the Enhancements team in Major Projects. The role supports capital investment projects, coordinating project and administrative tasks across stakeholders to meet time, quality, and budget targets.

The position is based in Leeds or Manchester with travel to other offices and a minimum of two days per week in the office or on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in project or programme management and governance.
• Ability to handle information and produce reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication with collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive project support for PM activities including finance, document control and scheme governance.
• Develop and sustain effective working relationships with key stakeholders in National Highways and the supply chain.
• Enable and support effective information management including high-quality project records.
• Support governance and assurance requirements including stage gates, audits and health checks.
• Assist with project management products such as plans, risk registers, action logs, benefits registers and stakeholder engagement plans.
