The Post
The postholder would be based within the medical physics team, within NHSScotland Assure. They would impact the effectiveness of the Scottish Breast Screening Programme, as the medical physics team provide a supportive role in the delivery of physics quality assurance for 6 Breast Screening Centres and 25 mobile mammography units. The team also support radiation protection across NHS National Services Scotland. The post holder would manage and co-ordinate various initiatives led by the medical physics team in support of their business plan. They would provide project management support to the programme, co-ordinating data monitoring, collaborating with other members of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the effectiveness of the projects. In addition, they would co-ordinate the administration of projects being undertaken by the team and ensure activities and information related to these are appropriately communicated.
The Candidate
The Post holder is expected to have a minimum of an HND in Office Administration or equivalent, be numerate with sufficient experience of secretarial and administrative work. They must have in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and Teams as well as IT, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). Experience in dealing directly with stakeholders and customers is required and they would be expected to work under own initiative as well as within the team and to adhere to deadlines.
Location and Working Pattern:
Gyle Square, Edinburgh or Delta House, Glasgow.
Currently hybrid working.
Expected hours would be during the working week of Monday to Friday and hours 9am-5pm, but would be agreed to suit the postholder and team.
It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
