  • Support the planning, coordination, monitoring and delivery of projects and workstreams within the Families First Partnership Programme.
  • Lead and manage specific project tasks and work packages, ensuring delivery against objectives, milestones and timescales.
  • Track progress, risks, issues and dependencies, producing reports and updates for programme boards and senior leaders.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across Children's Services and partner agencies, including health, police, education and the voluntary and community sector.
  • Support stakeholder engagement, workshops, communications and change management activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, plans, action logs and governance arrangements.
  • Analyse and present information to support decision-making and programme delivery.
  • Provide advice and practical support to managers to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
  • Promote a flexible, adaptive and continuous improvement approach.

Job description

This role is central to delivering the Families First Partnership Programme (FFP) in Dudley and will appeal to someone who enjoys turning strategy into practice while working across a wide range of partners to improve outcomes for children and families., Dudley Children's Services is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Project Officer to support the delivery of the Families First Partnership Programme (FFP), a major national reform programme designed to improve how services work together to support children, young people and families.

Working within the Children and Young People Directorate, you will support the Families First Programme Lead and Programme Managers to help design and implement an integrated system that delivers the right help, at the right time, for families, whilst ensuring children are protected from harm and enabled to thrive.

The role will play a key part in supporting the development and implementation of key FFP workstreams, including Family Help, Family Group Decision Making (FGDM), Multi-Agency Child Protection Teams (MACPT) and wider transformational activity across the partnership., As a Project Officer, you will:

  • Support the planning, coordination, monitoring and delivery of projects and workstreams within the Families First Partnership Programme.

  • Has experience of working within local government, children's services, health, education or a partnership environment.
  • Is committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families.
  • Knowledge of children's services, safeguarding, early help, family support or public sector transformation programmes would be advantageous.
