Job summary

People First Team Japan/ピープルファーストチームジャパン is seeking a Structured Finance Analyst for an international financial institution. The role involves supporting ongoing project finance transactions, assessing credit risk, and participating in the deal lifecycle from KYC to funding.

The successful candidate will have prior project finance experience, strong financial modelling skills, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Experience with project finance transactions as part of a front-office team or credit reviewer in risk management is preferable.
• Experience in a financial institution is preferable.
• Proficient/Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze existing project finance transactions on an ongoing basis.
• Understand the bank's credit risk management framework and internal rating system.
• Perform regular and ad-hoc internal credit rating assessments for project finance transactions.
• Create Ringi and obtain approvals for borrower consent requests.
• Analyze cash flow models for transaction monitoring purposes.
• Assist the deal-closing team through the transaction lifecycle (KYC, funding requests, drawdown procedures).
• Provide administrative support to the SFD admin team, especially during quarter-end peak periods.
• Conduct research and prepare reports related to the Branch credit portfolio as required.
• Assist the senior manager with internal Branch reporting when required.
• Attend lenders' meetings and site visits for monitoring purposes as needed.
• Attend meetings with borrowers, sponsors, and FAs as needed.
• Provide general clerical support to the Senior Manager (photocopying, filing, etc.).
• Other duties as required by management.
