Job summary

People First Team Japan/ピープルファーストチームジャパン is seeking a Credit Analyst specializing in Project Finance in London. The role is permanent and starts ASAP, with standard 9 to 5 hours and a hybrid working pattern (4 days in the office, 1 day at home).

You will evaluate credit risk for project finance transactions, draft opinions, and ensure compliance with credit policies. You will report to the Head/Deputy Head of Credit Risk and support risk appetite implementation.

Qualifications

• English fluency coupled with extensive project/structured finance credit review experience in banking.

Responsibilities

• Provide credit evaluation reports for various transactions with risk analysis and credit recommendations.
• Draft and present credit opinions to Credit Committee with an objective, independent view.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and timely turnaround of proposals.
• Monitor credit exposures, covenants and borrower performance throughout the loan life.
• Conduct credit reviews and industry/customer research on existing customers annually.
• Proactively monitor industry trends and counterparty risks for early warnings.
• Collaborate with Front Office to challenge proposals and guide risk appetite.
