Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd in London is seeking a Project Structural Engineer with 3–6 years of post-graduate experience. You will manage large urban and high-end residential schemes, translating architectural visions into robust structural solutions and interfacing with architects, clients, and contractors.

We are currently working with an award-winning, design-led structural engineering consultancy that is looking to welcome a talented Project Structural Engineer to their growing team. The objective for this role is to find an ambitious engineer with 3 to 6 years of post-graduate structural design experience who is ready to step up, run projects independently, and comfortably interface with architects, clients, and contractors. The practice wants someone technically sharp across all core materials who can confidently translate complex architectural visions into structurally sound realities, whilst actively contributing to the studio\'s progressive, forward-thinking work culture.

What You Need To Succeed

• Between 3 to 6 years of post-graduate experience working within a reputable UK structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical design proficiency across all traditional structural materials (steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry).
• A genuine passion for sustainable engineering, with experience or an interest in reducing embodied carbon in structural schemes.
• Proven ability to lead smaller projects independently and comfortably act as the main point of contact for architects, contractors, and clients.
• Familiarity with industry-standard design software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, or similar structural design packages).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ambitious to pursue Chartership with either the IStructE or ICE.
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
