Job summary

Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd is seeking a Project Structural Engineer in London to lead a portfolio of urban developments, high-end residential, and education schemes. You will manage projects from concept to site, interfacing with architects, clients, and contractors to realise demanding designs.

The role requires 3–6 years post-graduate experience, proficiency with steel, concrete, timber and masonry, and a drive toward Chartership with IStructE or ICE.

Qualifications

• Between 3 to 6 years of post-graduate experience working within a reputable UK structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical design proficiency across all traditional structural materials (steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry).
• Experience or interest in reducing embodied carbon in structural schemes.
• Proven ability to lead smaller projects independently and act as main point of contact for architects, contractors, and clients.
• Familiarity with Tekla, Tedds, or similar structural design packages.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ambitious to pursue Chartership with either the IStructE or ICE.
• A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role on a mix of large-scale urban developments, high-end residential schemes, and major education projects.
• Manage your own projects from initial architectural concept right through to on-site completion.
