Job summary

Real Staffing Group is seeking a Project Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow to lead commercial delivery on electrical infrastructure and renewables schemes. You will manage budgets, BOQs, cost reports, and interim applications while working with project teams and clients.

Ideal candidates have a Quantity Surveying degree and proven experience in HV/substations, with strong Excel skills and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach to control costs and risks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline.
• Experience in electrical infrastructure, HV, substations or renewables.
• Experience with contract administration and cost control.
• Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage BOQs, budgets, cost reports, forecasts and profit plans.
• Monitor project costs and provide detailed commercial reporting to stakeholders.
• Lead interim commercial meetings with clients and internal project teams.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, payment certificates and final accounts.
• Prepare monthly applications for payment with remeasurements, variations and claims.
• Identify and manage labour and material cost escalations where applicable.
• Proactively identify commercial risks and escalate to senior management.
