Job summary

Morson Edge is supporting a leading Tier 1 main contractor to appoint a Project Quantity Surveyor for a permanent role based in Scarborough. The position focuses on healthcare and public-sector schemes across Yorkshire, offering genuine commercial ownership and clear progression within a business known for investing in its people.

You will drive commercial performance, lead procurement, manage valuations and final accounts, and collaborate closely with the delivery team.

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor/Project Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Experience managing procurement, subcontractors, valuations and final accounts.
• Ideally experience across healthcare, hospitals or other complex public-sector projects.
• Education, BTR/residential, prisons or similar building-sector experience will be considered.
• Full UK driving licence.

I'm working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor on a permanent Project Quantity Surveyor opportunity in Scarborough. The business has a strong pipeline of complex construction projects across Yorkshire, with a particular focus on healthcare and public-sector schemes. The role

• Managing the commercial performance of live construction projects

• Subcontract and main contract administration

What we are looking for

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Project Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
• Experience managing procurement, subcontractors, valuations and final accounts
• Ideally, experience across healthcare, hospitals or other complex public-sector projects
• Education, BTR/residential, prisons or similar building-sector experience will also be considered
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• No infrastructure/civils background
• Housebuilding-only experience will not be suitable
• Full UK driving licence
