Job summary

BEL Engineering, part of the British Engines Group, is seeking a Project Quality Engineer for its Newcastle upon Tyne facility. You will identify and coordinate quality requirements for customer projects from RFQ to product release, and maintain project quality documentation including FMEAs and control plans.

You will liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance. The role involves audits, continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to ISO 9001, AS9100 and ASME

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of quality processes within subcontract manufacturing.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings accurately.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 or ASME standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and coordinate quality requirements for customer projects across RFQs, contract review and product release.
• Prepare and maintain project quality documentation (e.g., MITPs, FMEAs, Control Plans).
• Coordinate submission, approval and communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Support audits, corrective actions and continuous improvement within the Quality Management System.
